Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer, Texas Institute for Electronics

The Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer will develop complex mechanical systems, manage research projects, and oversee the design and testing of equipment systems.

Responsibilities
Manages research projects, including defining and tracking project goals and milestones and supervising of the work of research team members
Designs, fabricates, assembles and tests equipment systems
Researches and coordinates the procurement of various equipment and sub-systems
Compiles reports on costs and inventory levels
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, precision systems engineering, or other relevant disciplines
Six years' experience in nanofabrication, precision machine design, mechatronics, systems and controls, instrumentation, roll-to-roll systems development
Goal-oriented and ability to prioritize and multitask
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a collaborative team environment
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast paced environment
Preferred
Doctoral degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, precision systems engineering, or other relevant disciplines
Experience working in a research or start-up environment
