The Vice President, Global Scientific Research Partnerships will lead the strategy and implementation of scientific research projects and partnerships, engaging with various stakeholders to drive innovation and influence in the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

Lead the portfolio of work around Scientific Research Partnerships, fostering collaboration across all DIA regions to deliver harmonized and high-impact strategies
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive a unified global approach to the development, execution and dissemination of results from the global public private research partnerships, ensuring regional nuance while maintaining global standards
Serve as a thought leader and senior advisor to regional scientific teams, providing strategic guidance on content development, stakeholder engagement, and emerging priorities
Identify, evaluate, and integrate trends in science, regulation, policy, and innovation into DIA’s global portfolio of executive roundtables and research programs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Learning, Operations, Sales, and IT to optimize content delivery and user experience across platforms
Represent DIA at key global events, fostering partnerships with regulatory agencies, industry leaders, and scientific communities to inform content direction and expand DIA’s influence
Serve as a senior content advisor on DIA initiatives and projects requiring strategic input and global perspective
Works closely with other Global Science Team members, under the leadership of the Chief Science and Regulatory Officer, as well as the leaders of Global Centers of Excellence, including those focused on content, marketing, operations and training, and Regional General Managers
Participate in the creation of manuscripts, commentaries and other thought leadership writing and presentation opportunities to represent DIA priorities, opinions and stakeholder alignment
Special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
Manage 2 or more direct reports

Required

PhD in life sciences, PharmD, or MD required; industry or nonprofit health PPP experience preferred
Minimum of 15 years of professional experience, with 10+ years in a senior-level role in life sciences, regulatory, or scientific education ecosystem for the VP level position
Previous experience managing internal teams of at least 2 staff members, and multi-stakeholder external teams
Demonstrated leadership in developing and executing scientific or regulatory content strategies on a global scale
Proven ability to work across diverse geographies and cultures, with experience navigating global healthcare and regulatory environments
Extensive publication record and network of relevant contacts in the global medical product development industry
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage senior-level stakeholders and present complex topics with clarity
Strong organizational, project management, and change leadership skills; comfortable leading cross-functional and cross-regional initiatives
Proficiency with content management systems, digital learning platforms, and collaborative technologies

Preferred

industry or nonprofit health PPP experience
Expertise in clinical development, regulatory policy, or public private biomedical partnerships
