Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Development Specialist for the Stormont-Vail Foundation. The role involves initiating, planning, managing, and executing development and fundraising activities while collaborating with the Foundation President and various committees to meet fundraising objectives.

Responsibilities

Works with the Foundation President to achieve effective collaboration of Foundation staff and SVH management to ensure attainment of organizational goals and objectives. Provide regional leadership for the Stormont Vail Foundation in the Flint Hills

Must excel in interactions with others and in public engagements

Must have extensive knowledge of grant processes and event planning. Identifies and solicits major and planned gifts to meet the Foundation's fundraising goals, annually and long-term

Works with the Foundation's Special Events Committee of the Board and Flint Hills Advisory Committee to meet fundraising objectives

Assists with advocacy, public relations, education and fundraising with all constituents within the Foundation's budgeted expenses

Assists Foundation President with budget development, goal setting, and strategic planning for Foundation activities. Prepares periodic reports on results of activities

Identifies and supervises completion of the Foundation's grant proposals

Assists with donor identification, research, cultivation, stewardship, and recognition

Works with SVH departments to identify funding needs that could be supported by the Foundation

Develops and tracks proposals and reports for foundation and corporate fundraising

Researches public and private grant sources to identify sources of restricted and unrestricted funding

Cultivates donors by producing specialized correspondences, preparing letters of acknowledgement, scheduling and attending in-person visits. Serves as a member of the SVH Charitable Contributions Committee. Coordinates the Foundation Focus quarterly publication

Required

Bachelor's Degree Required

3 years Demonstrated significant fundraising success with experience working with committees, board members, and volunteers, and strong research, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

Demonstrated track record of experience in fundraising in the not-for-profit sector
