Responsibilities
Review and drafting of communications, pleadings, and discovery
Participation in mediations, mandatory settlement conferences, and trials or arbitrations
Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel and court staff
Develop strategies and tactics best suited to the client’s litigation needs, in collaboration with others
Maintain high standards for professionalism, ethics, and work quality; project confidence and competence
Legal research using Lexis and Westlaw
Meet or exceed billable hours requirement
Ability to work independently and as a team
Ability to manage their own caseload
Ability to manage and meet internal and statutory deadlines
Qualification
Required
Three (plus) years of recent experience in civil litigation, preferably with probate and trust litigation experience
Strong organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills
Excellent research and writing skills
Experience in court appearances and drafting of motions, discovery, etc
Review and drafting of communications, pleadings, and discovery
Participation in mediations, mandatory settlement conferences, and trials or arbitrations
