Complex Tax Preparation (Primary Focus): You will personally prepare and finalize complex federal and state tax returns
High-Net-Worth Individuals (1040): Including real estate, stock options, and multi-state filings
S-Corporations (1120S) & Partnerships (1065): Including basis calculations, reasonable compensation analysis, and shareholder distributions
Bookkeeping-to-Tax Bridge: Since we are a bookkeeping firm, you must be skilled at reviewing Trial Balances, making Adjusting Journal Entries (AJEs), and ensuring the books are tax-ready before the return is started
Technical Analysis: Research and resolve complex tax issues related to pass-through entities and medical practices
Workflow Management: Manage your own pipeline of returns to ensure deadlines are met without sacrificing accuracy
Qualification
Required
5+ years of recent, hands-on tax preparation experience in public accounting
CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) license is required
Deep experience preparing 1040, 1120S, and 1065 returns
Comfort handling 'messy' books, cleaning up general ledgers, and reconciling retained earnings/basis
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills for client interactions
