Youth Development Program Management Director
YMCA of the Suncoast is seeking a Youth Development Program Management Director to oversee School Age Programs for before and after school care. The role involves administration, staff training, safety management, budgeting, and community relations to ensure high-quality programs and facilities.

Responsibilities
This position is responsible for supporting the general administration of School Age Programs for before and after school care at selected school sites
This position leads the training and orientation of all School Age Program Staff in the Region by serving at training sites
Responsibilities also include the day-to-day general administration of a program including the safety of all children, staff supervision, budgeting, expense control, income generation, program development and quality control, community relations, collaborations, long-range planning and facility maintenance
The Youth Development Program Management Director also provides direction and leadership for the achievement of Association goals in accordance with the policies, procedures and standards established by the Board
Direct and administer total operation of the School Age Program sites assigned including the interpretation and execution of established policies, the development of procedures and methods, staffing, evaluation of the effectiveness of the programs and operation
Assure that a wide variety of programs and activities are provided that maximize the site, support the cause and enhance program participants
Create a nurturing and safe environment by reporting suspicious activity that may lead to child abuse or may violate the code of conduct
Ensure the safety and maintenance of high quality facilities, grounds, and equipment by keeping supplies organized, maintain and clean facility and care for equipment
Promote and monitor membership and/or program growth, taking a leadership role in membership cultivation and retention
Assure facilitated activities are safe, engaging and age appropriate for program participants
Responsible for reviewing all records and data on each child, employee and volunteer to maintain accuracy
Responsible for effectively handling all emergency incidents and submitting proper documentation that may occur in YMCA programs, using mature, sound judgment
Recruit, hire, supervise and develop department staff and volunteers through use of Leadership Competency Model resources that create a culture of cause-driven leaders
Lead and/or participate in a branch related committee(s)
Support Y Community Champions efforts
Assist with training all staff to include awareness and understanding of YMCA programs, services, and customer service skills
Preparing annual site budget for approval by the Executive Director
Recommend adjustments and administer the budget, exercising necessary expense controls and revenue production
Providing monthly variance reports to Executive Director
Responsible for managing collection of fees weekly and reporting weekly balances to Executive Director
Represent and promote the YMCA in the local community and develop positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities
Promote and communicate the objectives and programs of the YMCA through public communication media
Actively participate in a community committee(s)
Incorporate storytelling in an effort to advance our mission and cause
Participate in Annual Campaign efforts
Identify and recruit Annual Campaign volunteers
Lead and/or participate in branch special events for fund raising or mission advancement
Serve as a member of School Age Program management and support the branch and association objectives of the YMCA
Teach, role model and promote SMART behavior
Establish positive rapport with children, parents, volunteers and school
Qualification
Required
Experience in program management and administration, particularly in youth development or education settings
Strong leadership skills with the ability to recruit, hire, supervise, and develop staff and volunteers
Ability to create a nurturing and safe environment for children
Experience in budgeting, expense control, and financial management
Strong communication skills for community relations and public communication
Ability to handle emergency incidents effectively and maturely
Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate programming
Experience in promoting and monitoring program growth and membership retention
Ability to maintain accurate records and data management
