Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic finance partner to Sales and Marketing, supporting the development and monitoring of business plans, and consolidating monthly P&L and Balance Sheet results for a business unit with annual revenues exceeding $300M
Conduct monthly variance analyses comparing budgeted, forecasted, and actual financial performance, with a focus on identifying, interpreting, and documenting key variance drivers to support strategic decision-making
Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses across key business areas including sales performance, pricing strategy adjustments, inventory management, contribution margin trends, and selling and marketing expenditures to support data-driven decision-making
Provide strategic business and financial analysis to support management decision-making across key areas including pricing strategies, program evaluation, distribution planning, and sourcing initiatives
Enhance financial planning, reporting, and analytical processes related to revenue and expense management, driving greater efficiency, accuracy, and strategic insight
Lead finance training/support initiatives for Sales and Marketing teams, including quarterly Business Intelligence (BI) sessions, to enhance financial acumen and data-driven decision-making across commercial functions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Finance/Accounting
1 to 2 years related to finance and accounting experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Knowledge of financial statements, financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
Great communication skills and creative thinking, with an ability to use both data, input, and intuition to inform decisions
Extensive experience in Microsoft Office software required, including high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred
Ability to handle a variety of projects simultaneously
Ability to deal with ambiguity
Ability to function in a team environment
Ability to Function in a time-sensitive, deadline-driven environment
