Service Repair Technician

The Service Repair Technician will be responsible for repairing and maintaining sewing machines, requiring mechanical experience and a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Repair and maintain sewing machines
Perform maintenance on electromagnetic devices
Perform detailed assembly and re-assembly, such as with appliances or copiers or small engine repair
Understand, read and interpret documents such as service manuals, parts catalogs and schematics, technical manuals, circuit diagrams, and operating & maintenance instructions
Use precision measuring instruments, tool room machines, and equipment
Analyze and interpret data
Manage time effectively and prioritize work
Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
Communicate effectively with team members daily
Lift and carry sewing machines and other heavy items, occasionally up to 50 pounds
Handle incoming palletized stock, and move and transfer items between store locations
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Prior experience performing maintenance on electromagnetic devices, performing detailed assembly and re-assembly, such as with appliances or copiers or small engine repair
Ability to understand, read and interpret documents such as service manuals, parts catalogs and schematics, technical manuals, circuit diagrams, and operating & maintenance instructions
Experience using precision measuring instruments, tool room machines, and equipment
Basic Computer, circuit board or digital electronic knowledge
Ability to analyze and interpret data
Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Show a strong desire and ability to continuously learn and improve skills
Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members daily
Must be able to lift and carry sewing machines and other heavy items, occasionally up to 50 pounds
Handle incoming palletized stock, and move and transfer items between store locations

Preferred

Sewing machine repair experience is a huge plus
Previous relevant experience is a plus, but not required
