Genuine Search Group is representing a global real estate owner/developer headquartered in NYC, seeking a Senior Development Accountant to work on large-scale commercial and residential projects. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting for development projects, preparing financial statements, and collaborating with various teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Review audited financial statements on a GAAP basis

Day-to-day accounting for development projects including cash management, interfacing with 3rd party managers, and collaboration with development and asset management

Maintain the ACR with the project manager, ensuring accuracy to the financial statements

Prepare the monthly bank requisitions with a strong understanding of the loan agreements and contracts

Reconcile the ACR to the general ledger

Monthly GL Close including preparation of workpapers

Liaise with vendors for billing purposes

Work with the asset management team to prepare investor capital calls

Prepare monthly reporting packages for internal and external use

Assist in the cash flow projection process to ensure project cash needs

Prepare annual budgets and collaborate with the team to ensure accurate and timely information
