Facility Compliance Officer
Centers Health Care is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join their team as a Facility Compliance Liaison at Buffalo Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. This dedicated role focuses on regulatory compliance, resident safety, and supporting the facility’s commitment to high-quality, ethical care.

Responsibilities
Reinforce the ethical mission of the compliance program and promote a culture of integrity throughout the facility
Participate in committees related to compliance and quality of care, including QAPI, infection control, falls, behavioral, wound, discharge planning, and other high-risk committees
Review and investigate incident reports, grievances, and complaints
Provide regular updates to the Chief Compliance Officer regarding investigations, plans of correction, reportable events, and survey preparedness/outcomes
Identify trends related to resident care, staffing, departmental performance, and facility operations
Audit resident care documentation to ensure accurate charting, updated care plans, proper medication management, and delivery of medically necessary treatments
Monitor employee screening, HIPAA compliance, and adherence to regulatory policies
Collaborate with the Nursing Home Administrator and Director of Nursing through dotted-line reporting to support compliance goals
Perform additional compliance-related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Registered Nurse license
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Experience in regulatory compliance
Knowledge of resident safety protocols
Ability to support high-quality, ethical care
Experience in auditing resident care documentation
Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and regulatory policies
Ability to collaborate with facility leadership
Strong communication skills for providing updates and reports
Experience in investigating incident reports, grievances, and complaints
