Sales Development Apprentice / Intern Paid
Spark Interactive is a marketing and growth agency that helps service-based businesses grow through smarter customer acquisition and retention. They are seeking an entry-level Sales Development Apprentice to focus on appointment setting through outbound calls and support senior sales staff. This role provides structured onboarding and coaching to help develop real sales skills in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
Make outbound calls to service-based businesses (auto repair, home services, medical, etc.)
Use approved call frameworks to start conversations
Identify curiosity and basic fit (no selling)
Book appointments for senior sales staff
Log all calls, notes, and outcomes in our CRM
Follow a simple daily call plan and reporting process
Receive structured onboarding and coaching
Sit in on live sales calls and demos from the start
Attend a weekly Monday morning pipeline review
Learn how real sales conversations work
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Clear spoken communication
Basic computer skills (email, calendar, web tools)
Ability to follow a structured process
Comfort working independently in a remote environment
Willingness to make a high volume of outbound calls
Coachable and open to feedback
Resilient (able to handle rejection without taking it personally)
Organized and reliable
Curious about how businesses grow
Comfortable asking questions
Preferred
College coursework or degree preferred but not required
Sales, customer service, or call-center experience
Marketing or business coursework
CRM experience (we train this)
Interest in entrepreneurship or small business
