Responsibilities

Thinking deeply about the end user as much as you consider what makes a great developer experience
Contributions to the MCP specification and reference implementations
Building and maintaining open-source MCP servers and tooling
Participating actively in community discussions, helping others solve problems, and sharing what you learn
An Ability and Eagerness to represent Workato as a constructive, technically credible voice in the MCP community

Required

5–7+ years of professional software development experience with a proven track record of shipping high-quality products
Active, visible contributor to the MCP ecosystem
Strong software engineering skills in Python or TypeScript, with comfort across multiple languages
Existing relationships within the MCP community
Proven track record of publicly writing, discussing, reviewing, and helping
Experience shipping products, creating kits, understanding developer tools, and/or managing teams

Preferred

Contributions to the MCP spec or official repositories
Experience with enterprise integration challenges
Track record of sustained open source contribution
Adaptable, proactive, and creative—comfortable working in a dynamic, startup-like environment
Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset
