Responsibilities
Design and develop seasonal denim collections for the junior market, including core, fashion, and novelty styles
Research trend, wash, and silhouette direction through shopping the market, trend services, social media, and street style
Create sketches, CADs, and tech packs for development, ensuring design intent is clearly communicated to vendors
Collaborate with wash developers, patternmakers, and factories to achieve desired fits and finishes
Attend and participate in fit sessions, adjusting design and construction details as needed
Partner with merchandising and production to ensure product meets costing and calendar deadlines
Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape and emerging trends relevant to the junior denim consumer
Assist with presentation boards, line sheets, and showroom setup for market meetings
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field
7+ years of experience in denim or casual bottoms design; junior market experience strongly preferred
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and PLM systems
Strong understanding of fit, wash techniques, and denim fabrications
Ability to translate trends into commercially viable, brand-right product
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
Team player with a hands-on approach and strong attention to detail
