Responsibilities

Participate in the development of new model process line layouts and warehousing planning to support material flow, focusing on safety, ergonomics and efficiencies for manpower, machines, method and materials
Use standardized techniques for time study including MOST, MTM or MODAPTS to determine standard work methods and establish labor standards, and analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement in support of material flow
Coordinates and recommends cost savings and efficiency ideas
Support manufacturing plant VA / VE (Value Add / Value Engineering)
Provide guidance and direction to other associates
Support cross-training efforts sharing information, develop processes, etc
Other duties as assigned

Required

4-year college degree in industrial engineering or technology or equivalent experience and education
3 years of related work experience in high-volume, precision assembly processes
Knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards
Knowledge of computer programs necessary to perform job duties
Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
Promotes and carries out Astemo's code of conduct leading with integrity and ethics
Provides excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy
Ensures all local, state, and federal laws and regulations are complied with in functional area
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization
Coordinates and recommends cost savings and efficiency ideas

Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulation
Ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 environmental management standards
Intermediate experience required in Windows, MSWord, PowerPoint, and Excel
Ability to work for extended periods of time while sitting
Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the workday
Ability to lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds
Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen
May require up to 20% travel
Open office setting and factory setting with noise
Personal Computer

Preferred

Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering or related field
5+ years related work experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
Prior manufacturing experience in precision automotive or medical devices
Intermediate experience preferred with AutoCAD and/or CATIA
