Responsibilities
Oversee Tenant Improvement works associated with white space fit out of new data center spaces
Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspect of data center activities
Understand the design and functionality of your datacenter
Work with design, construction, and commissioning teams to properly integrate the new electrical distribution systems to existing data center
Support and validate on-site datacenters operations in relation to the electrical infrastructure
Be an electrical SME to support on-site operations related to mission critical electrical system, operations, and functionality
Develop digitized electrical distribution templates to support rack placement
Empower operational optimization and efficiency improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
6 to 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in critical facilities
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Strong desire and capability to learn, grow, and develop new skills
Experience overseeing Tenant Improvement works associated with white space fit out of new data center spaces
Ability to empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspects of data center activities
Understanding of the design and functionality of data centers
Experience working with design, construction, and commissioning teams to integrate new electrical distribution systems
Support and validate on-site data center operations in relation to electrical infrastructure
Expertise as an electrical SME to support on-site operations related to mission critical electrical systems
Ability to develop digitized electrical distribution templates to support rack placement
Experience empowering operational optimization and efficiency improvement initiatives
Critical facility electrical engineering skills
Change management of critical infrastructure to maintain customer uptime
Design electrical equipment including sizing switchgear PDU's, power panels, busways, cables, circuit breakers, diesel generators, UPS and batteries
Electrical load distribution and balancing to avoid oversubscribing and failing of equipment
Knowledge of critical theory and practical application of critical electrical equipment
Maintenance operation of critical electrical equipment
Familiarity with construction techniques, terminology, and documentation
Ability to interpret blueprints, electrical SLDs, mechanical SLDs, and construction drawings
Experience with load flow, Short Circuit, TCC coordination studies in ETAP or SKM or relevant software
Proficiency in software tools such as SKM, ETAP, Bluebeam, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office tools
