Business Development Manager (m/w/d)
8tree is the global leader in AR-enabled 3D precision surface inspection tools, seeking a Business Development Manager for their Dallas office. This role focuses on nurturing opportunities in Aerospace & Defense Aviation and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders while managing the sales cycle from prospecting to closing.

Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities for our portfolio of precision measurement tools within Aerospace and Defense Aviation, as well as other emerging sectors
Develop and maintain trusted relationships with engineering, procurement, and quality assurance stakeholders at all levels of customer organization
Lead the sales cycle end-to-end — from prospecting and demos through proposal, pricing, and closing
Draft, review, and administer commercial contracts, ensuring clarity, compliance, and risk mitigation
Professionally represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings
Collaborate with your technical and product team colleagues to align solutions with client needs
Track and report on pipeline activity, market feedback, and competitive intelligence using CRM tools and regular updates
Qualification
Required
US citizenship required – no exceptions
In-office position (not remote) – no exceptions
5-10 years in business development or technical sales, ideally in Aerospace & Defense sector
Experience navigating all levels of a customer organization with persistent curiosity, diplomacy and humility
Strong understanding of contracts administration, including terms negotiation and risk management
Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering, Business or related discipline
Strong computer skills and experience with engineering applications
Willingness to travel up to ~50%
Preferred
Experience with 3D metrology, NDT, or quality inspection systems
