IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Policy and Plannig/Information Security)

Responsibilities
Providing ongoing Information Technology (IT) system or service optimization and problem-solving support
Providing recommendations for possible IT improvements and upgrades
Reviewing service performance reports identifying any significant issues and variances, initiating, where necessary, corrective actions, and ensuring that all outstanding issues are followed up
Participating in the acquisition process as necessary; review existing funding levels, create purchase requests, receive goods and services
Managing contracts and monitor contractor performance, intervening as necessary to support completion of contract goals
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be registered or exempt from the Selective Service
A one-year probationary period may be required

All selected applicants must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation
This position requires a Secret clearance
All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement
Applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the federal or private sector
Specialized experience may include being a System Sustainment or Project Manager for HR & Payroll IT system such as Oracle PeopleTools/PeopleSoft
Running queries and modifying values of complex database structures using SQL
Applying standard techniques to support the collection of data for measurement, generate reports, and analysis of data to evaluate health of services
Planning and executing budgets and develop technical requirements for applicable contract documents
You must also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
Submit a copy of your college transcript (unofficial is acceptable) from an accredited institution if qualifying based on education
Failure to provide required documents could result in elimination of consideration
