NEOGOV is seeking a Fish Culture Station Foreman to join the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission at the Tionesta State Fish Hatchery. The role involves overseeing hatchery operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supervising staff to support fish propagation and conservation efforts.

Responsibilities

Oversee activities at the hatchery to ensure safe and efficient operations as well as regulatory compliance

Supervising fish culturists in the propagation of fish for stocking for Commonwealth waters

Assisting with developing fish distribution schedules

Producing and stocking trout and other species

Directing building, grounds, and equipment maintenance and repair

Handling recruitment

Performing a variety of administrative functions including procurement tasks

Serving as the point of contact for public inquiries

Required

One year of experience as a Fish Culturist 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or

Two years of technical experience in the propagation and care of food or game fish; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training

This position requires possession of an active Class B Commercial Driver's License

You must meet the PA residency requirement

You must be able to perform essential job functions

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance
