Responsibilities
Own the entire frontend architecture and visual experience of Qumis
Define the visual language, build the design system, and ship production code
Engineer UI patterns that handle streaming LLM tokens, optimistic updates, and non-deterministic states
Build interfaces for document navigation, annotation, side-by-side comparison, and AI-assisted extraction
Architect performant views that present complex coverage tables and risk summaries clearly
Define how to handle typography, spacing, color, theming, and accessibility in the design system
Create interfaces that facilitate seamless AI collaboration with command palettes, keyboard shortcuts, and inline suggestions
Set the standard for frontend code quality by configuring linters and establishing testing patterns
Obsess over bundle size, render cycles, and WCAG compliance
Qualification
Required
Architectural experience with scaling codebases
Ability to debug re-render performance issues using the React Profiler
Deep understanding of the DOM
Experience with React 18, TypeScript (strict), and Vite
Experience with Tailwind CSS, Radix UI Primitives, and Shadcn/ui
Experience with TanStack Query and Zustand
Experience with Framer Motion
Experience with testing frameworks like Vitest, Playwright, and Storybook
Ability to implement production-quality code that is clean, documented, and testable
Strong attention to detail in design and engineering
Desire for ownership and the ability to work autonomously
