Inside Higher Ed is seeking a STEPS Wireless Specialist to perform basic wireless surveys and conduct wireless coverage tests. The role involves interpreting survey and design data to document site-specific attributes and collaborating with engineers to ensure the smooth roll-out of new designs.

Responsibilities

Perform basic wireless surveys and conduct wireless coverage tests

Interpret survey and design data to create AP install matrix and fully document site specific attributes related to optimal client operation and coverage

Works closely with engineers to ensure fast, smooth roll-out of new designs and products

Ensures backend management and monitoring systems are updated to reflect current state environment

Basic knowledge of wireless protocols and RF fundamentals are needed
