Electrical Engineer, Amazon Leo
Amazon is launching the Amazon Leo initiative to provide high-speed broadband connectivity through Low Earth Orbit satellites. The Electrical Engineer will focus on designing various electrical functions and ensuring high-quality innovative designs while collaborating with multiple teams.

Responsibilities
Lead a variety of tasks, from board design and component selection, to layout review, board bring-up, system test and root cause analysis at the subsystem as well as system level
Responsible for ensuring high quality and innovative designs
Support other colleagues with reviewing and improving board and other electrical designs
Work with a team of top-notch engineers and collaborate with multiple other spacecraft design and integration teams
Tackle challenging, novel situations every day
Work with multiple technical teams at Amazon in different locations
Tasks would vary between board design, layout reviews, test plan development and qualification
Cross-functional role requiring constant interaction with multiple HW/SW design teams and end-users
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent
Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Preferred
Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
Experience with hardware/software integration and real-time systems
