Responsibilities

Leading the design and deployment of Microsoft Purview solutions, including:
Information Protection & Sensitivity Labels
Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
Insider Risk Management
EDiscovery and Compliance Manager
Data Lifecycle Management and Records Management
Lead practice development and sales activities including, opportunity origination, client proposal development, and deal closure
Advising clients on enterprise data governance strategies, regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA), and risk mitigation
Conducting current-state assessments of data protection and compliance programs, and developing future-state roadmaps
Overseeing the integration of Microsoft Purview with Microsoft 365, Azure, and third-party data sources
Leading workshops and executive briefings to align stakeholders on data protection goals and regulatory requirements
Managing cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact client engagements on time and within budget
Supporting business development through proposal development, client presentations, and thought leadership in data governance and compliance
Staying current on evolving privacy regulations, Microsoft roadmap updates, and emerging data protection technologies

Required

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field
Relevant certifications such as SC-400, CIPP, CIPM, CISSP, CISM, or other related certifications required
10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, data protection, or compliance consulting
Prior experience leading sales activities for data protection professional services, in excess of $3M a year
Deep expertise in Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 compliance solutions
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, and ISO 27001
Experience with data classification, retention policies, and insider risk management
Proven ability to lead client engagements and manage multidisciplinary teams
Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot for Compliance and AI-driven data governance tools
Strong executive presence and ability to communicate complex compliance concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Demonstrated success in practice development and client relationship management
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment
Exceptional client service and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
Can travel as needed
