Employee Housing Assistant Manager - Yellowstone National Park

Xanterra Travel Collection is part of the Housing Management team in Yellowstone National Park, dedicated to providing a supportive living environment for seasonal employees. The Employee Housing Assistant Manager will oversee the daily management of employee dormitories and housing staff, ensuring compliance with housing policies and fostering a community atmosphere among residents.

Hospitality

Responsibilities

Lead and develop Housing, Residence, and Dorm Coordinator teams through daily supervision, coaching, and performance management
Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming community by planning and hosting regular dorm events and informational meetings
Administer corrective and disciplinary actions for housing violations, collaborating with HR when sensitive issues arise
Oversee residence facility operations, including occupancy preparation, weekly inspections, safety standards, and closing procedures
Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Security to address housing, behavioral, and dormitory concerns with professionalism and confidentiality
Manage housing administration and budgets, ensuring accurate personnel records, payroll, supply tracking, and timely documentation
Maintain strong communication with staff and departments, ensuring confidentiality and consistent adherence to company policies
Oversee employee RV site management, ensuring compliance with NPS policies and proper maintenance

Required

Developed management skills relating to leadership, decision making, delegation, time management, problem solving and interpersonal communication
Knowledge of Personnel Policies and Procedures, Park/Company guidelines and resources for employee housing management. Adherence to, and support of, same
Office organization skills
Basic business administration skills
General knowledge of data systems
Must be able to lift items up to 25 pounds and shovel snow
Must be able to walk and/or stand a minimum of 30 minutes at a time
Must be able to walk up to one mile continuously
Must be able to kneel or lay flat on the ground to inspect employee rooms and bathrooms
Must be able to climb stairs
Must be able to walk on uneven terrain, including icy and snow covered areas
Must be able to remain seated for periods of 30-120 minutes or longer
