Procurement Technician (OA)

Responsibilities
Responsible for the independent accomplishment of a variety of contractual tasks, supporting contract specialists in pre-award and post-award functions for the DLA Disposition Services Acquisition Directorate
Maintains contract and task order files and performs timely and accurate contract closeout actions to maintain audit readiness
Performs technical work supporting contract specialists involved in the solicitation, evaluation, and award of various types of contracts
Works on invoice problems with contractors and government personnel that may prevent closing out of task orders and contracts
Maintains all files in accordance with established guidelines
Maintains detailed status reports on specific contracts
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. citizen
Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal
Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service
Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute
One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position
To qualify at the GS-07 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector
Creditable specialized experience includes: Searching and compiling data to develop summaries, reports, and recommendations; Using software programs to gather and interpret information; Creating and maintaining accurate filing systems; Using written and oral communication to support personnel
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
