They are seeking a full-time lecturer of Spanish who will teach all levels of Spanish language and occasionally English-language courses, while contributing to a multi-language department that values diverse perspectives.

Responsibilities

Teaches students in the classroom, laboratory, and/or studio

Prepares content, syllabi, and University Moodle/curricular site for each course and/or lab assigned each semester. Communicates to students after reviewing assignments. Calculates and assigns grades (e.g., mid-term and final) through established procedures listed in the Faculty Manual and University catalog. Tracks and reports absences as directed by the Office of the Registrar

Posts and holds regular office hours each week per College and University guidelines. Engages in University-related activities including committee assignments, meetings, ceremonies, events and scholarly pursuits as prescribed in the Faculty Manual

Performs other duties as assigned
