Automotive Technician/Mechanic
NEOGOV is associated with the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office, which is looking for an Automotive Technician/Mechanic. The role involves performing skilled mechanical work related to the maintenance and repair of automotive and related mechanical equipment under the supervision of the Fleet Supervisor.

Complete assignment as directed
Maintain work areas
Knowledge of general orders
Perform electrical repairs
Repair brakes
Repair air conditioning system
Perform diagnostic engine analysis
Outfit marked vehicles
Fabricate and install cages in transport vans
Perform preventative maintenance
And repair or replace malfunction part(s)
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years' experience
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications. Agency requires ASE certification in Suspension and Steering, Brakes, and Heating and Air Conditioning. If an applicant does not possess these certifications, they have 90 days post-employment start date to complete
Drivers License with current address
