Janea Systems is a dynamic team of software engineering specialists providing high-impact development services to Fortune 500 companies. They are seeking a Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer to own cloud infrastructure, deployments, and CI/CD pipelines with a focus on security best practices.

Software

Responsibilities

Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)

Build and maintain Azure-based cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform or Bicep)

Manage deployment processes, staging/production environments, and release readiness

Ensure secure operation of infrastructure: identity, access control, secrets, networking, logging

Implement monitoring, alerting, diagnostics, and operational observability

Design and implement secure data infrastructure and the data pipelines that support our ML and analysis workflows

Support data pipelines and backend infrastructure pieces as needed

Collaborate with the security consultant to apply secure design principles (but this is not a formal security architect role)

Improve developer workflows, internal tooling, and reliability

Required

Strong DevOps / Platform background (Azure preferred, AWS acceptable if adaptable)

Experience with Infra-as-Code (Terraform/Bicep)

Hands-on CI/CD pipeline ownership

Good understanding of secure cloud operations (least privilege, secret management, hardened pipelines)

Ability to own deployments end to end in a startup environment

Senior-level autonomy and ability to build systems from scratch

Preferred

Exposure to cybersecurity, privacy, or sensitive-data handling

Experience with monitoring/observability setup

Experience with data pipeline / workflow orchestration

Background in designing developer tooling or internal platforms
