Responsibilities
Handle employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, whistleblower, and wage & hour claims
Defend class actions, collective actions, and representative actions (including PAGA matters, where applicable)
Assist with and lead employment counseling matters, including:
Drafting and advising on employment policies and handbooks
Counseling clients on employee discipline, termination, and wage & hour compliance
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and participate in hearings, depositions, and trials
Engage directly with clients and, depending on experience, take responsibility for running cases
Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex, high-stakes employment matters of regional and national scope
Qualification
Required
1–4 years of experience in employment litigation and/or employment advice and counseling
Strong familiarity with employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage & hour claims
Outstanding academic credentials, including excellent law school record
Strong references
Proven litigation and legal writing skills
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
Active admission to the California Bar
Preferred
California civil procedure
Class action and/or PAGA experience
