This role involves leading the planning, design, and execution of roadway improvement projects while collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities
Overall management of transportation infrastructure improvement projects of varying complexity across Georgia
Provide professional engineering design services for transportation improvement projects
Oversee development of construction plans, specifications, estimates and detailed engineering calculations
Collaborate with clients, subconsultants, and internal teams to meet project goals and deadlines
Direct and mentor design support staff, fostering technical growth and alignment
Conduct engineering investigations and feasibility analyses using collected data
Evaluate alternative design solutions and contribute to critical decision-making
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
Georgia PE license
10-15+ years of roadway design experience
Strong knowledge of AASHTO and State DOT design standards
Management acumen including budgeting, scheduling, job tracking, client interaction and staff management
Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to forge strong relationships with clients, partners and your team members
A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and commitment to team success
Preferred
GDOT experience preferred
