Responsibilities
Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations for staff; distribute workload and implement procedures to maximize productivity
Maintain adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements; oversee preparation and processing of transport and customs documentation
Act as primary liaison for clients, ensuring satisfaction through regular communication, advice on transport options, and proactive problem resolution
Plan efficient cargo routing, verify shipment details, negotiate vendor rates, and control costs to achieve revenue and gross profit targets
Approve vendor invoices, manage credit checks, issue rate quotations, and ensure timely invoicing in line with company guidelines
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirement
Previous experience in a management position, handling a wide variety of commodities
Minimum ten years in the industry with proven satisfactory track record, operational and/or sales experience
Able to route, NFO, over-night, 2day Air and expedited ground shipments
Administration of LTL (Less than Truck load) operations
Completion of any industry related course is an asset
Northern and Southern Cross Border operations
