Responsibilities

Leads and manages projects, including cost estimates, budgets, scheduling and documentation preparation, support and evaluation
Recommends contracting strategies
Construction support
Resolves design problems that may include performing field investigation or inspection
Designs detailed plans and structural analysis
Performs finite element static and dynamic structural modeling of structures
Prepares design concepts, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
Calculates quantity estimates
Coordinates plan details with drafting technicians
Prepares inspection reports as needed
Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
Oversees work of CAD designers, technicians and other engineer’s work
Mentors staff

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
PE registration
10 to 15 years of related waterfront structural experience in engineering design and project management
Proven ability to implement and manage both small and large scale projects
Proven success in leading people and managing resources
Strong communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills
Experience in developing and maintaining client relationships
Must be willing and able to travel for projects
Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Preferred

SE registration or ability to obtain SE
Academy of Coastal, Ocean, Port & Navigation Engineers (ACOPNE) certification in the Port Engineering category
