Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale applications with a focus on backend services built in Java
Implement end-to-end features across the stack, including APIs, data integration, and responsive front-end interfaces
Ensure applications are secure, reliable, and optimized for large-scale production environments
Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and compliance specialists to translate complex requirements into technical solutions
Contribute to architectural decisions, system design, and performance tuning efforts
Write clean, testable, and maintainable code while adhering to engineering best practices
Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentoring of junior developers as needed
Support deployment processes, CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshooting of production issues
Qualification
Required
5+ years of professional experience as a full-stack or backend software engineer
Strong expertise in Java application development, with proven success building and scaling enterprise solutions
Proficiency with modern web technologies and frameworks for front-end and API development
Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including schema design and query optimization
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization/orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering efficient and resilient solutions
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams
Preferred
Background in legal, compliance, or trade systems development
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and workflows in enterprise compliance domains
Experience in contract roles with demonstrated ability to deliver results quickly in a short timeframe
