The Apprenticeship Guide is offering a Civil Engineering Technical Apprenticeship with BAM, a leading construction company. This apprenticeship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in civil engineering while working on significant projects and pursuing professional recognition.
Responsibilities
Collaborating with experienced engineers on the design, planning and execution of civil engineering projects
Communicating effectively at all levels
Assist with planning and coordination of site activities
Maintaining good working relationships with client, designer, supply chain and others
Gain hands-on experience with engineering tools and processes
Learn how to use specialist setting out equipment
Learn how to overcome challenges on live projects
Drive quality through effective planning and right first time delivery
Be part of real construction projects and work closely with our skilled workforce, applying your learning and knowledge in real world scenarios
Maintain diaries of site activity
Help to ensure that work is carried out safely in line with the company Health and Safety
Maintaining high personal standards in health and safety
Maintaining high standards in environmental awareness and behaviour
Monitoring and recording delivery against the agreed programme and construction methods
Ensuring that works are accurately and clear set out before work commences
Qualification
Required
GCSE grade 5 (B) or above in Maths
GCSE grade 4 (C) or above in English Language
3 additional GCSE's grade 4 and above
2 x STEM A-Levels
Relevant Level 3 Qualifications (e.g Civil Engineering, Construction in the Built Environment)
T Level Design, Planning & Surveying for Construction
Disciplined and able to manage degree level study and a busy job role
A passion and desire to learn and grow within the industry
Highly numerate with an attention to detail
Able to adapt when priorities change
Happy to work on site and travel as and when required
Punctual, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality work
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Willing to travel and stay away from home when necessary
Hold full UK driving license
