Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of accounting, finance, tax and treasury operations for multiple entities
Serve as the principal accounting officer and primary financial contact for the CEO, board and external partners
Ensure timely, accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Lead the external audit process across all entities, managing simultaneous audits during busy season
Oversee the transition to the company's new accounting software platform and ensure process continuity
Drive continuous improvement in systems, controls and reporting efficiency
Support investor relations and oversee fund level accounting and distribution process to investors
Qualification
Required
15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with at least 10 years in oil and gas
Expertise in revenue, JIB, LOE, CAPEX, DD&A and partnership accounting
Proven experience managing audits, tax engagements, and multi-entity structures
Strong treasury and cash management skills
Experience leading or supporting a system conversion
Excellent leadership, communication and board-facing presentation skills
