Responsibilities
Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions
Assists management with the internal controls related to accounting processes by applying policies and procedures of the Bank and its affiliates
Prepares and records assets, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
Maintains and balances GL and subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
Monitor all accounts, ledgers and reports complying with accounting policies, practice and procedures
Assist with monthly accounting close process, specifically with regards to general ledger functions, ensuring an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
Qualification
Required
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
At minimum four (2+) years of progressive experience in accounting/finance
Knowledge of USGAAP
Detail oriented, self-motivated, and strong organizational skills
Intermediate knowledge on user applications (e.g., MS Office – Word, Access, PowerPoint)
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Bachelor's degree in accounting
English (Required)
Preferred
Financial services industry experience is a plus
Portuguese (plus)
