Senior Research Analyst
PYMNTS.com is a U.S.-based company that conducts original data-driven research on the digital economy, focusing on payments and commerce. They are looking for a motivated Senior Research Analyst to lead research projects, craft surveys, and distill results into actionable insights for clients.

Responsibilities
The candidate will serve as an end-to-end product owner for all aspects of large-scale research projects involving surveys of businesses and/or individuals in multiple geographies
A Senior Analyst’s primary responsibility is crafting surveys to address client research hypotheses and marketing goals, then distil results into unique and actionable insights that are relevant to our clients and readers
The candidate will be responsible for conducting quantitative and qualitative research and supervise a team of 1-3 junior analysts to organize our original quantitative and qualitative data into final deliverables accessible to a wide audience and stakeholders
They are also accountable for ensuring data quality and consistency throughout the writing and publication process
Applicants for this role need to be confident in their ability to craft data into cohesive, easy to digest presentations and narratives, as they will be regularly expected to present key insights to C-suite executives and clients
Qualification
Required
At least an MA in economics, or related field, with a specialty or at least substantial coursework in econometrics and statistics
At least three years of practical experience in designing and executing quantitative research
Experience with conducting large-scale consumer surveys
Expert level understanding of descriptive statistics, variable operationalization, and basic regression analysis
Deep understanding of data visualization and visualization practices
Analytic ability to distill important data from superfluous or noisy findings
Ability to tell a complex story simply, grouping insights into outlined stories for reports and other projects
Excellent written and spoken English, and the ability to write clearly
Fluent in statistical software such as STATA, python, or R
Excel Skills using SQL or other programming languages
Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with remote analytics and writing
Preferred
Experience with survey research platforms such as Qualtrics
Skills in data visualization tools such as Tableau
