Business Development Manager - Life Sciences
Ellaway Blues Consulting is a U.S.-based engineered manufacturing organization that designs and produces highly technical components for OEM customers. They are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead new customer development in the Life Sciences vertical, focusing on opening and developing OEM accounts within this space.
Responsibilities
Identify, target, and secure new Life Sciences OEM customers
Focus on equipment manufacturers within biopharma, diagnostics, and laboratory systems
Develop qualified opportunities from initial engagement through engineering validation
Work closely with internal engineering teams once opportunities enter testing and development
Build a long-term pipeline of new programs that convert into repeat production business
Manage complex sales cycles involving technical, quality, and commercial stakeholders
Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and forecasting within CRM systems
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years proven experience opening new OEM accounts within Life Sciences, biopharma, diagnostics, or lab equipment environments
Background selling engineered components, materials, or build-to-print products
Comfortable with long sales cycles, validation processes, and technical buying groups
Strong hunter mentality with a strategic approach to market development
Able to engage credibly with engineering, quality, and operations stakeholders
