The role involves developing and maintaining high-scale websites and applications, ensuring a seamless and high-performing user experience while collaborating with various teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain high scale websites and applications using our core stack: Nuxt 3, Vue, Tailwind, Vercel, and Contentful
Implement responsive, accessible, and high performing front end experiences with strong attention to detail
Build and evolve reusable components within our internal design system
Partner with Design and Web Product Management to evolve our internal design system, including component architecture, documentation, and implementation standards in Figma and code
Work closely with Web Product Management, Design, SEO, and broader Marketing and Product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
Support and optimize integrations across the stack, including Contentful APIs, Algolia search, HubSpot forms, GA4, BigQuery, Qualified, and other SaaS platforms
Improve our development infrastructure, including repositories, CI/CD workflows, and deployment processes
Participate in the full agile development lifecycle, including sprint planning, estimation, coding, testing, code reviews, and release management
Contribute to documentation, process improvement, and technical decision making
Help evaluate new tools, frameworks, and technologies that keep VAST ahead of industry standards
Support QA, cross device testing, and performance tuning to ensure reliability at scale
Qualification
Required
10+ years of professional web development experience, with strong proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks. Experience with Vue or Nuxt is preferred
Expert knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and component based development, including use of Storybook
Strong experience with headless CMS platforms, ideally Contentful, including content modeling and integration
Experience creating and maintaining scalable design systems and component libraries
Comfort working with APIs, serverless patterns, authentication, and third party integrations
Hands on experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and modern hosting environments such as Vercel
A strong understanding of web performance best practices and accessibility principles
Ability to collaborate across cross functional teams and communicate clearly with technical and non technical stakeholders
A user focused mindset and a passion for building high quality digital experiences
Comfortable using AI assisted development tools to increase speed, improve code quality, and streamline workflows, while still applying strong engineering judgment and best practices
Preferred
Experience with Algolia, HubSpot, Docebo, or documentation platforms such as Zoomin or Document360
Familiarity with experimentation and personalization tools
Experience working in fast paced or high growth environments
Basic understanding of analytics tools such as GA4, BigQuery, or Looker Studio
