Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil projects, including highways, roadways, earthwork, utilities, and structures
Analyze plans, specifications, and contract documents to identify scope, risks, and opportunities
Lead bid strategy development, pricing, and subcontractor outreach
Perform quantity takeoffs, cost modeling, and value engineering
Collaborate with project management and operations to ensure effective handoff after award
Review subcontractor and supplier pricing for accuracy and competitiveness
Support and mentor junior estimators and contribute to estimating best practices
Qualification
Required
7+ years of estimating experience in US heavy civil construction
Strong knowledge of Arizona DOT (ADOT) and local municipal bid processes
Proven experience bidding DOT and public-sector infrastructure projects
Proficiency with estimating software and digital takeoff tools
Solid understanding of heavy civil means and methods
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
