They are hiring a Safety and Security Resource Officer to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff, with responsibilities including patrolling, monitoring surveillance, and responding to emergencies.

Responsibilities

Patrols and monitors an assigned area; reports suspicious activities to local authorities
Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowds
Provides constant monitoring of vehicular and pedestrian traffic throughout the campus
Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency
After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure
Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property
Reasonably detains persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives
Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises
Maintains written log of all security related incidents and their dispositions
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

High school graduate or GED
Excellent communication skills
Analytical and multitasking skills
Attention to detail and organization a must

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
Previous work experience as a security guard or related position
Substance abuse field experience
