Responsibilities

Build and Lead Apptegy’s Technology Partnership Strategy
Define the vision, framework, and priorities for Apptegy’s technical partnerships and ecosystem
Identify high-impact partners across SIS, LMS, curriculum tools, communication platforms, and AI technologies
Develop partner value propositions and integration narratives that align with district needs and product strategy
Drive Product and Technology Collaborations
Lead the evaluation, scoping, negotiation, and execution of product integrations and APIs
Work with Product and Engineering to define technical requirements and ongoing collaboration models
Influence the product roadmap based on strategic partner opportunities and workflow alignment
Ensure integrations deliver meaningful value for both Apptegy’s users (educators, families, and administrators) and Apptegy’s partners
Monitor Market and Competitive Landscape
Continuously track the competitive landscape across K–12 EdTech, including SIS, LMS, communication, AI, and ecosystem players
Synthesize trends, funding shifts, policy changes, and technology movements into clear insights
Use these insights to refine Apptegy’s ecosystem strategy, prioritize partner categories, and identify white-space opportunities for new integrations and joint solutions
Operationalize and Scale the Ecosystem
Build processes for partner evaluation, onboarding, enablement, and lifecycle management
Establish partner review processes and coordinate workstreams across Product, Engineering, GTM, and Legal
Develop scalable integration programs, APIs, certification mechanisms, and partner support loops
Lead Strategic Partnerships
Own relationships with key technology partners across EdTech, AI, and developer platforms
Negotiate agreements, renewals, amendments, and long-term expansion plans
Represent Apptegy externally with high credibility and technical fluency
Drive Internal Alignment
Bring clarity and structure to cross-functional partnership work
Advocate internally for partner needs, integration requirements, and technical considerations
Provide market and ecosystem insights to inform product and company strategy

Required

10+ years in product partnerships, technology alliances, or platform ecosystem leadership in SaaS or enterprise/consumer technology
Proven experience building and scaling integrations and platform partnerships that materially improved product capabilities, adoption, or engagement
Demonstrated ability to evaluate and dissect a market, ideally a vertical like K–12: understanding its buyers, decision cycles, data flows, regulatory constraints, and where value is created
Experience forming a clear ecosystem strategy within a defined market, articulating how your company should position itself, which partner categories matter most, and how to sequence that strategy over time
Strong track record of communicating that strategy to executives and cross-functional teams in a way that drives alignment, resourcing, and follow-through
Ability to work closely with Engineering and Product teams on integration requirements, technical tradeoffs, and joint roadmaps
Strong negotiation skills with experience owning significant partner agreements
Familiarity with APIs, SDKs, developer tooling, and technical partner workflows
Ability to translate technical concepts for both internal stakeholders and strategic partners
A relationship-driven approach grounded in trust, credibility, and collaboration
Comfort working in a high-growth environment with evolving priorities

Preferred

Experience in EdTech, K–12 data, or adjacent mission-driven sectors is a plus but not required; strong curiosity and appetite to deeply understand the K–12 ecosystem is essential
