Mid-America Aerotech is focused on supporting cold spray developmental and production operations. The Cold Spray Product Engineer will lead R&D activities, ensuring engineering processes meet company standards and collaborating with engineering and production staff.

Responsibilities

Develop, manage and oversee research and development programs as required by MAA management

Test additive manufacturing technology, specifically cold spray

Explore ways to improve technology and understanding of cold spray

Create technical documentation as required by MAA processes, or as required by customer directive

Publish and disseminate findings by presenting at conferences, meetings, publishing reports, and advising decision-makers

Develop and enable execution of new repair procedures using cold spray technologies

Maintain work records in accordance with MAA standard practices and guidance, and the MAA FAA Repair Station Manual

Support equipment calibration and maintenance requirements

Program and use robotic equipment to accomplish tasks

Preparing cost estimates and analyzing cost parameters

Building prototypes, products, and systems for testing

Design testing procedures and coordinate to identify problems and solutions

Collaborating on standards for procedures and component requirements

Coordinating and communicating work efforts

Supporting or leading teams of engineers and technicians
