Program Manager for Capacity Engagement
William & Mary Libraries is seeking a Program Manager for Capacity Engagement to support leadership and professional capacity engagement programs at the Institute for Integrative Conservation. The role involves managing programs, coordinating an online platform, and teaching an undergraduate course focused on leadership development.

Responsibilities
Support the logistics, planning and execution of the Mindful Leadership Experience and Conservation Catalyst programs, which may include online and in-person components and will require domestic and international travel. Within these programs, design and facilitate leadership program sessions in areas of interest and expertise, and collaborate with partners for program delivery
Co-coordinate the alumni network of the leadership and capacity engagement programs, including programming (e.g., planning webinars or continued learning opportunities), maintaining a virtual meetup calendar, and managing group communication streams (e.g., WhatsApp groups)
Lead one course per year on leadership and professionalism in conservation
Support the IIC’s fundraising for capacity engagement activities
Support evaluation of leadership and capacity engagement programming
Manage and coordinate the Integrative Conservation Clinic leadership team (currently from the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, UCLA, Ben Gurion University of the Negev, and W&M)
Engage in grant and contract writing and other forms of fundraising to sustain the development and management of the Integrative Conservation Clinic
Grow and manage the Integrative Conservation Clinic network of partners, users, and content contributors. As the Clinic community grows, this may include some degree of community engagement and content moderation, as well as facilitation and participation at conferences and workshops
Mentor and manage student development teams
Develop metrics and track program effectiveness
Liaise and collaborate with IIC staff to identify and support alignment between programs
Serve on and support IIC and W&M committees as needed
Express the values of the IIC throughout their work
Qualification
Required
Graduate degree (e.g., master's or Ph.D.) in relevant field (e.g., sociology, psychology, anthropology, geography, management)
Experience with project management, including projects with multiple constituents from several organizations
Experience with projects that connect people and nature
Demonstrated commitment to the mission of the IIC
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Preferred
Experience organizing multi-constituent gatherings (e.g., meetings, workshops, conference)
Training or experience with group facilitation
Experience in community building (online and/or in-person)
Familiarity with social science research methods, including survey and interview design and qualitative data analysis
Experience with undergraduate mentoring and/or teaching
Experience with successful grant writing and/or fundraising
