The Director of Business Intelligence is responsible for setting the strategic vision for enterprise-wide BI initiatives, leading a multidisciplinary team, and driving data strategies that enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
Responsibilities
Define and lead the enterprise BI strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
Oversee the design and implementation of scalable BI solutions using Power BI, SQL, and cloud-based platforms
Collaborate with C-level executives and department heads to identify data opportunities and deliver strategic insights
Drive data governance, quality, and standardization across all business units
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing BI team, fostering innovation and accountability
Champion a data-driven culture by promoting data literacy and self-service analytics
Serve as executive sponsor for BI initiatives, ensuring stakeholder engagement and successful delivery
Establish and monitor KPIs to measure the impact of BI initiatives on business performance
Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new BI technologies to support evolving business needs
Qualification
Required
Deep technical expertise in business intelligence and data strategies
Exceptional communication skills
Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders
Experience overseeing a multidisciplinary BI team
Ability to collaborate with executive leadership, IT, finance, and business units
Strategic thinking skills to translate complex data into actionable insights
Experience with Power BI, SQL, and cloud-based platforms
Knowledge of data governance, quality, and standardization practices
Experience in leading, mentoring, and growing high-performing teams
Ability to promote data literacy and self-service analytics
Experience in establishing and monitoring KPIs for BI initiatives
Experience managing vendor relationships and evaluating new BI technologies
