Engineering Technician, New Product Introduction, Energy
Tesla is a leading company in the energy sector, and they are seeking an Engineering Technician for their New Product Introduction team. The technician will be responsible for executing manufacturing instructions, maintaining quality standards, and mentoring production associates while working on complex electro-mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities
Perform complex and precise electro-mechanical assembly work and be able to work independently once a task is assigned, make connections with other employees, works fluidly with the team to achieve great results
Typically involves a variety of operations, including troubleshooting and rework, requiring a sufficient understanding of the functional operation of the items assembled as well as the finished product
Must be able to work from complex and detailed manufacturing documentation, drawings, and/or verbal and written instructions and specialized fixtures/test equipment
Have a quick and flexible approach to problem solving, task juggling, and collaboration
Responsible for quality activities, including self-inspection, and inspection
Be comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously, interacting with multiple teams
Updates production records and test results, records process improvements, and manufacturability suggestions
Qualification
Required
Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions and mechanical drawings with basic understanding of electrical systems
Must have a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail married with the ability to work quickly
Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
Must be reliable, have good initiative, committed, and quality focused and have the ability to manage his/her time to juggle multiple tasks and to prioritize tasks
Experience with hand tools and use of semi-automated manufacturing equipment is necessary
