Responsibilities

Manage Lab Operating Procedures (LOPs) by providing direction for lab users on established policies

Manage, coordinate, and implement Environmental Health, Safety, and Sustainment programs

Oversee Property & Metrology Management to ensure compliance with standards and regulations

Conduct cost analyses and ensure task completion within approved budgets

Provide process support to Supply Chain Management (SCM)

Oversee audit and assessment preparation

Lead Engineering Lab Objective Evaluation and Voluntary Protection Program; develop corrective action plans and long-term objectives aligned with engineering customer goals

Safeguard classified/proprietary materials, hardware, and documentation in compliance with Export Administration Regulations

Develop and implement communication plans; provide consulting support to functional and engineering management

Influence stakeholders within and outside responsible areas regarding policies, practices, and procedures

Work autonomously with limited oversight, offering professional input, guidance, and problem-solving expertise

Perform tasks requiring physical exertion, such as standing, walking, and occasional outdoor work

Travel locally as required, with occasional travel outside the local area

Required

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 5 years' prior relevant experience

Experience with working directly with engineers, technicians and leadership in an engineering lab environment

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred

Strong mechanical and/or electrical/electronic skills

Experience with OSHA/NFPA industrial policies and regulations

Experience working directly with engineers, technicians and leadership in an engineering lab environment in the areas of safety, security, compliance and property management

Experience with EHS, NISPOM, JAFAN and Foreign Object Elimination

Ability to build positive, lasting relationships with customers

Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Strong understanding and experience with Metrology and calibrations practices and preparing assets for such
