This role focuses on engineering, modernization, automation, and platform stability, and involves leading the design of IBM Power & IBM i OS environments and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

Lead and design IBM Power & IBM i OS environments (HMC, VIOS, IBM DS Storage)

Act as escalation point for complex troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security

Design, support, and enhance HA/DR (MIMIX or similar)

Drive automation & Infrastructure-as-Code (Ansible, CL)

Advance observability, monitoring, and AIOps practices

Partner with business and IT leaders; mentor team members

Support patching, upgrades, and on-call rotations as needed
