Harris Teeter is seeking a Distribution Clerk for their Greensboro Warehouse. The role involves compiling order and shipping data, performing inventory counts, and providing customer service while adhering to safety and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

Utilize computers (Triceps) to process orders, communicate load status, and track information

Prepare documents to support the operation including separation of POS

Do inventory counts in the warehouse if needed, using a Triceps hand held device making adjustment to the inventory

Review trailers and report issues - Identify infractions

Conduct outstanding customer service by answering the phones in a professional manner, locating people, using the PA system, etc

Complete any additional responsibilities assigned by the warehouse or transportation Supervisor

Cross training required

Follows company's attendance policy by coming to work on time and when scheduled

Follows company's safety policies and procedures

Perform other duties as requested by supervisor

Able to work in a frozen food environment at minus 20 degrees

Must be at least 18 years of age

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

Ability to write simple correspondence

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Knowledge of Word Processing software; Excel spreadsheet software and Triceps System order processing systems, VLM time system

Ability to pass Industrial Equipment Certification for cross training purposes
