Audit and Compliance Coordinator - Full Time - Harrah's Gulf Coast

Responsibilities

Perform weekly and monthly property inventory counts
Be a champion within the organization, exemplify commitment to honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate behavior
Assist internal and external customers via email or telephone with customer service excellence
Participate in process improvement exercises as well as propose continuous improvement ideas
General office maintenance such as supply ordering, inventory replenishment, records management and communication with facilities
Utilize web-based and company proprietary programs for data entry and report procurement
Be in compliance with and understand Minimum Internal Control Standards, Company Brand Standards and Regulations set forth by the Mississippi Gaming Commission when performing daily tasks
Be in compliance with department policies and procedures
Retrieve and provide various documents upon requests from internal and external customers
Ability to work with confidential and sensitive data
Monitor and maintain customer service request queues to ensure Service Level Agreements are met
File and organize paperwork for record retention
Review paperwork for compliance with departmental policies and procedures
Knowledge of and enforcement of industry laws and regulations; GAAP accounting
Ability to meet deadlines pertaining to legal inquiries, compliance requests, and internal/external requests
Create and input data into excel spreadsheets
Assist key departments with conducting internal investigations related to alleged violations of company policies and procedures while upholding strict confidentiality
Assists with regulatory compliance matters
Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Provides direction, training, and support to coworkers
Capacity to work independently with minimal direction
Able to take responsibility for actions and outcomes; demonstrate dependability. and flexibility when the department is under challenging circumstances
Ability to make educated decisions for the team
Accurately enter data into multiple programs and systems
Detail oriented when performing attribute testing audits
Ability to meet hard deadlines pertaining to legal inquiries, compliance requests, and internal and external audit requests
Process mail in payments for gaming monetary instruments
Ability to work in the elements
Review all completed work for accuracy and compliance
Ownership of task completion for area of responsibility
Report out accurate Service Level Agreements daily to the property department and leaders within CEBS
Displays strong interpersonal skills and personal maturity
Prioritize effectively to complete all tasks
Exercise flexibility in covering other Finance roles and any tasks outside of the normal daily tasks, as needed
Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies
Enforce Project 21 policy and procedures by monitoring area for underage gamblers
Other duties as assigned

Required

Must possess or be able to obtain a Mississippi Gaming License
Must be at least 21 years of age
Maintain knowledge of current property events, promotions and attractions
Must be able to work independently, with little supervision
High School Diploma
At least two years of accounting/auditing related and customer service experience
One to two years of experience with mid to high level Casino related clerical functions
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in Gaming Industry
Must be detail oriented and possess advanced math and problem-solving skills
Must be able to lift and transport at least 20 pounds several times in a row
Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently
Must present a well-groomed appearance
Must adhere to uniform/appearance requirements
Ability to appreciate and be friendly with all Harrah's Gulf Coast team members who are of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds
Able to accept direction of Senior Leadership
Able to read, write and speak English sufficiently to perform job
Available to work any shift, holidays and weekends
Must have manual dexterity to be able to operate the following equipment: computer, telephone, photo-copy machine, high resolution scanner, ten key, printer and fax machine
