Clinical Research Assistant I - Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant I to perform data collection and conduct research interviews. This role involves recruiting and screening subjects for research studies, as well as collecting and organizing data under the guidance of senior staff.

Responsibilities

Performs research projects, including collection and organization of data
Independently identifies and collects reports, journal articles, data, and other relevant information in an organized and proactive capacity
Assists with the preparation of manuscripts, reports, and presentations including editing and formatting documents. Distributes manuscripts and reports to all scientific collaborators as required
Assists in the preparation of technical reports, summaries, and protocols
Assist with lab work including preparation of patient samples
Maintains clear and accurate project records, inventories, and logbooks
Performs data entry for research projects and maintains databases
Interaction with study subjects, including screening, recruitment and data collection
Provides basic data analysis and interpretation
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role

Clinical research experiencePatient recruitmentPhlebotomyBehavioral Sciences degreeData analysisAnalytical skillsBasic computer programsWritten communicationVerbal communicationOrganizational skills

Required

Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum of 0-2 years experience required
Knowledge of basic computer programs; ability to follow detailed instructions; good written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Ability to obtain and maintain a T1 Public Trust investigation

Preferred

Behavioral Sciences preferred
Previous clinical research experience is preferred
Previous experience with patient recruitment and consenting preferred
Previous phlebotomy experience preferred
